【BLACK ANT プロフィール】

フロリダに拠点を置くミュージシャンでありハイチ系出身の写真家として活動。2005年から電子音楽、ヒップホップ、実験音楽を独自に制作。2008年に南フロリダに拠点を置くノイズバンド「Crack Hotel」のギタリストとして活動。
2009年から2010年にかけて若い才能あるプロデューサーとして”Free Music Archive”などのさまざまなブログで紹介され、またFlickrでは「Brandley Amose」として写真家として活動。米国各地の数百の写真が掲載し、写真はBLACK ANTのアルバム（ Area,” “October 16th,” “A New Tomorrow,” “Echo Stereo,” etc）などのカバーデザインとしても使用されている。
2010年ニューヨークに本拠を置くノイズバンド「Spreaders」とカセットテープ ”Split”をリリース。
同年、ソフトウェアベースの音楽からハードウェアベースの音楽に移行し、自身のプライベートスタジオを構築。
2013年にロシアのラッパー、ラーナ・アルドと楽曲の制作。同年、秋にアメリカの司法制度の欠点を批判するドキュメンタリームービー『コントロール』に楽曲を提供。
2014年と2015年にはニューオーリンズの "The Building"に招待され、Black AntはBrooklyn Based Rapper Yung Morpheusと協力し、Anamorphsとして知られるグループを形成。2014年11月シカゴ・トリビューンのニーナ・メッツは「コントロール」に注目し楽曲提供したブラック・アントを評価。 2017年にはバンドキャンプ、YouTube、フリー・ミュージック・アーカイブなどを介してインターネット上に数百の楽曲をリリース。
2017年の初め、音楽レーベルBotanica 1から楽曲をリリース。2月にフロリダ州オーランドに本拠を置く音楽集団Fuzzzy NicklesがBlack Antの「Chrome Zero」カセットをリリース。同年、日本のレーベルseikomartは「Fear Effect」をカセットでリリース。8月、Fuzzzy NicklesはBlack Antの「The Afghanni Struggle」をデジタルでリリース。この「The Afghanni Struggle」には、Black Antのコンセプトでもある反戦メッセージが含まれています。
10月、Black Antは日本のレコードレーベル「Cripta Many Layers」からアルバム「Cyanosis Pt 2」をリリース。このアルバムは、Black Antの音楽の風景が表現されています。"ここは戦争で壊れた様々な社会の市民が住んでいる世界です。壊れた社会の原因は…欲張りな企業に深く結びついている帝国主義国家や、億万長者の家族によって引き起こされた戦争なのです。"

BLACK ANT
Florida based musician and photographer of Haitian descent.
In the fall of 2005 while still in middle school, Black Ant begins independently producing
electronic, hip-hop, and experimental music. Now in the summer of 2017, there are over
hundreds of released instrumentals on the internet via bandcamp, youtube, Free Music Archive
and etc.
In 2008 Black Ant plays guitar for the south Florida based noise band “Crack Hotel.”
In 2009 - 2010, while still in high school, Black Ant is featured on various blogs, such as Free
Music Archive for being a young and talented producer.
In the spring of 2010, Black Ant begins publishing photography on flickr under the pseudonym
“Brandley Amose.” Featuring hundreds of photos from all over the United States. Some of which
are later used as the covers for his music albums (“Area,” “October 16th,” “A New Tomorrow,”
“Echo Stereo,” etc).
Spring 2010, Black Ant transitions from software based music to hardware based music as he
begins building his own private studio.
In the summer of 2013, the first international collaboration between the talented Russian rapper
Rona Aldo.
In the fall of 2013 Black Ant composes the score to the documentary “Control.” A documentary
which critiques the faults of the American justice system.
Summer 2014, and in the beginning of 2015, invited to New Orleans to play at “The Building.”
November 2014, Nina Metz of the Chicago Tribune recognizes the music in “Control” and
acknowledges “Black Ant” for the music.
At the beginning of 2017, he begins releasing music for music label Botanica 1.
During the spring of 2017, Japan based Seiko mart publishes Black Ant’s “Fear Effect” on
cassette and is distributed world wide.
The summer of 2017 Black Ant begins releasing music for Japan based record label Cripta
Many Layers.

A very pleasant lo-fi beats album, it evokes all the memories I have of watching Adult Swim late night. A couple tracks can come off as a bit annoying depending on your tastes, due to some peculiar sampling choices, but it’s overall pretty short and enjoyable. I got this on cassette off of Seikomart, as this was originally split into two separate parts, and the Seikomart release combines them. “S A SMASH” and “Air 7 Below” are two of my favorites.
